In July 2007, the National University System Center for Integrative Health was established with an initial funding goal of $1 million. The Center has a commitment to collaboration and is actively seeking partnerships that will advance its mission.
Initial partners include the National University School of Health and Human Services, the National University School of Education, and the San Diego County Office of Education.
The Center has made a commitment to increasing knowledge about health and wellness through the following initiatives:
- A graduate certificate in health coaching.
- An online graduate certificate in bereavement studies.
- A graduate certificate in patient advocacy.
- The Center is partnering with public schools in California on incentives related to the growing challenge of childhood obesity.
- The Center will disseminate wellness and prevention information to various audiences.
